New York [US], April 18 (ANI): Time magazine has named Deepika Padukone to its 100 Most Influential People of 2026 list, with the actor profiled in the Artists category by filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
DuVernay wrote that Padukone “has used her visibility to reshape conversations around mental health with a consistency we rarely see in any industry, anywhere.” Filmmaker Payal Kapadia also features in the same category.
The full list, released Thursday, includes 18 women from India across fields. Padukone, 40, was also honoured at the Cannes Film Festival jury in 2022. (ANI)
